Taking care of a freshwater fish tank is no small chore. It requires monitoring of the water and making sure the fish are getting the nutrients, nitrogen and oxygen they need to survive. It is a mistake to think that freshwater fish tanks require constant cleaning, removal of fish and water control. A freshwater fish tank can be a wonderful addition to your house giving the owner a low maintenance pet that is both interesting and relaxing to observe. Maintenance of the tank does not have to be a chore as long as preventive measures are taken before problems occur.
